Bodo/Glimt vs Tromso prediction 09.08.2025 | Eliteserien

Bodo/Glimt won four of the last five Eliteserien titles. Kjetil Knutsen's team had some bad parts of the 2025 season, but with the recent good run, they returned to only one point fewer than the league leader, Viking, who played one game more, so Bodo/Glimt will have a chance to retake the top position with a victory in the upcoming round. Knutsen's team is in a phenomenal run with six wins in a row. In the previous game, they won 3-1 on the road against HamKam. Knutsen's team once again showed why they are the best team in the country. Bodo/Glimt had control of almost the whole game and recorded another victory. 

In the game against HamKam, one of the most important Bodo/Glimt players, Ulrik Saltnes, had to come out in the second half due to injury. He will join already sidelined Brede Moe if he can't play against Tromso, while Jostein Gundersen and Ole Blomberg are questionable, and their status will be clearer closer to the kickoff. 

Tromso have a surprisingly good 2025 season. They are currently seven points behind the top of the table, but with two games fewer played, so Jorgen Vik's team can still return to the title race. The problem with Tromso's championship chances is that they have slowed down with only one point in the previous two matches. In the previous league round, Vik's team played 0-0 at home against Fredrikstad. The home side ended the game with xG of 1.22, while the guests had only 0.68, but Tromso's inefficiency this time cost them victory. 

Tromso have almost a full squad for the upcoming game in Bodo as Mads Mikkelsen should be the only missing player. The good news for Tromso is that Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh and Isak Vadebu served their suspensions and could return to the starting lineup.
