The 2026 Wimbledon Championships get underway on June 29, with the world’s best players returning to the grass courts of the All England Club to compete for one of tennis’ biggest prizes.
Defending champions Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek will both be aiming to retain their titles, but they face plenty of competition. Carlos Alcaraz's withdrawal through injury has made Sinner the clear favourite in the men's tournament, while Aryna Sabalenka heads the betting on the women's side.
In this guide, we take a look at the latest Wimbledon odds, the leading contenders and our predictions for both singles events.

Bookmakers have made Jannik Sinner a strong favourite to win the men's singles title at odds of 1.57. Novak Djokovic is the second favourite at 6.00, while Alexander Zverev at 11.00 and Taylor Fritz at 19.00 complete the leading contenders.
| Player | Odds |
| Jannik Sinner | 1.57 |
| Novak Djokovic | 6.00 |
| Alexander Zverev | 11.00 |
| Taylor Fritz | 19.00 |
| Ben Shelton | 21.00 |
| Jack Draper | 26.00 |
| Jakub Mensik | 29.00 |
There is no shortage of challengers capable of lifting the trophy at the All England Club. From defending champion Jannik Sinner to seven-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic, here are the five players with the best chance of becoming the 2026 men's singles champion.
Jannik Sinner is a player to beat after an outstanding first half of the 2026 season. The Italian has already collected five ATP Masters 1000 titles this year, including Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, Madrid and Rome, while also returning to the top of the ATP rankings. Although he suffered a surprise second-round exit at the French Open, bookmakers still make him the overwhelming favourite to defend his Wimbledon crown.
Sinner claimed his first Wimbledon title in 2025, and his aggressive baseline game translates perfectly to grass. With Alcaraz absent and few weaknesses in his game, the 24-year-old has an excellent opportunity to win back-to-back titles at SW19.
Despite turning 39 this year, Novak Djokovic remains one of the biggest threats on grass. The Serbian is chasing a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon title and an incredible 25th Grand Slam crown. These achievements would further cement his place among the greatest players in tennis history. Grass has always suited his game thanks to his movement, return and ability to raise his level in best-of-five matches.
Djokovic has enjoyed another consistent season, highlighted by his Australian Open triumph over Sinner, proving he can still beat the world's best players. He has reached the Wimbledon final in each of the last seven editions he has contested, making his odds of 6.00 look attractive for anyone expecting another deep run.

Alexander Zverev finally broke through for his maiden Grand Slam title by winning the French Open, giving him a huge confidence boost ahead of Wimbledon. The German has also enjoyed another strong season on the ATP Tour and reached the semi-finals in Halle during his grass-court preparations before losing to Taylor Fritz.
The biggest question mark remains his Wimbledon record. Zverev has never progressed beyond the fourth round at the All England Club, which is surprising considering the power of his serve. If he can finally transfer his clay-court success onto grass, the world No. 3 has every chance of challenging for another Grand Slam title.
Taylor Fritz has established himself as one of the best grass-court players on the ATP Tour. The American owns five ATP titles on the surface and has once again impressed during the grass swing, reaching the finals in both Stuttgart and Halle before Wimbledon.
Fritz reached the Wimbledon semi-finals last year and possesses one of the most effective serves in the draw, making him particularly dangerous on faster courts. He looks like one of the better value picks among the leading contenders, especially if he avoids Sinner and Djokovic until the latter stages.
Ben Shelton continues to make a name for himself among the ATP elite. He enters Wimbledon after one of the best seasons of his career. The American has already won titles on all three surfaces in 2026, including his maiden grass-court trophy in Stuttgart, showing just how much his all-round game has improved.
His booming left-handed serve and aggressive style make him a natural fit for grass, while last year's quarter-final appearance proved he can compete with the best at Wimbledon. At odds of 21.00, Shelton offers an interesting outside bet if he can maintain his current level throughout the tournament.
Picking against Jannik Sinner may seem risky, but we're backing Novak Djokovic to make history. The Serbian has won Wimbledon seven times, and no player in the draw understands how to navigate the pressure of Centre Court better than he does. Grass remains his strongest surface, and with Carlos Alcaraz absent, the path to another title looks more favourable than it has in recent years.
Aryna Sabalenka tops the betting markets at 4.33 as she looks to win her first Wimbledon title. Former champion Elena Rybakina is close behind at 5.50, while Iga Swiatek and French Open winner Mirra Andreeva are both priced at 9.00.
| Player | Odds |
| Aryna Sabalenka | 4.33 |
| Elena Rybakina | 5.50 |
| Iga Swiatek | 9.00 |
| Mirra Andreeva | 9.00 |
| Coco Gauff | 13.00 |
| Amanda Anisimova | 15.00 |
| Jessica Pegula | 17.00 |
The women's singles draw looks more open than the men's, with several players capable of lifting the Venus Rosewater Dish. Here are the five leading contenders to win Wimbledon 2026 and why they have a strong chance of going all the way.
Aryna Sabalenka heads into Wimbledon as the tournament favourite after another excellent season. The world No. 1 has won three WTA titles in 2026 and has consistently reached the latter stages of the biggest tournaments, making her one of the most reliable players on tour. Her powerful serve and aggressive baseline game are perfectly suited to grass, where she can dominate opponents with first-strike tennis.
Despite never winning Wimbledon, Sabalenka has reached the semi-finals twice and has developed into a much more composed player in recent seasons. She is the bookmakers’ top choice and has every opportunity to finally add the Wimbledon title to her Grand Slam collection.
Elena Rybakina is once again expected to be one of the biggest threats on grass. The Kazakh lifted the Wimbledon title in 2022 and has reached at least the quarter-finals in three of her last four appearances at the All England Club. Few players are more dangerous on this surface thanks to her huge serve and calm, efficient style of play.
Rybakina has enjoyed another solid season and remains one of the most consistent performers on tour when fully fit. With odds of 5.50, she represents excellent value for bettors looking beyond Sabalenka, especially given her proven record at Wimbledon.
Although grass has traditionally been Iga Swiatek's least successful surface, the Polish star arrives as the defending Wimbledon champion after finally conquering the tournament in 2025. She has continued her strong form this season with another deep run at Roland Garros and remains one of the most complete players in women's tennis.
Winning back-to-back Wimbledon titles will be a difficult task, but Swiatek has shown she can adapt her game to grass. Her movement, consistency and mental strength make her a genuine contender again.
Mirra Andreeva continues to establish herself as one of the brightest young stars in tennis. The 19-year-old claimed her maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open earlier this year and has climbed into the world's top five thanks to her remarkable consistency and maturity beyond her years.
Although she is still relatively inexperienced on grass, Andreeva's tactical intelligence and ability to construct points make her dangerous on any surface. If she carries her Roland Garros confidence into Wimbledon, she has every chance of making another deep Grand Slam run and justifying her 9.00 outright odds.
Coco Gauff remains one of the biggest names in women's tennis and enters Wimbledon looking to improve on a surprisingly modest record at the tournament. Despite winning multiple Grand Slam titles elsewhere, the American has never progressed beyond the fourth round at the All England Club.
Nevertheless, Gauff has put together another impressive season and continues to challenge for the biggest titles. Her athleticism, improved serve and fighting spirit always make her a dangerous opponent, and if she can finally translate her hard-court success onto grass, odds of 13.00 could offer plenty of value.
The women's draw looks much harder to predict, but we're backing Aryna Sabalenka to finally win her first Wimbledon title. The world No. 1 has been one of the most consistent players on the WTA Tour this season, winning three titles, including the prestigious Sunshine Double, and reaching the latter stages of almost every major tournament.
Rybakina remains her biggest threat thanks to her outstanding Wimbledon record. However, with her current level and odds of 4.33, Sabalenka looks like the strongest outright pick to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish.
