Spanish champions Barcelona bring their successful title defence to a close on Sunday evening when they take on Valencia.
The Catalans make the trip to Mestalla in high spirits after maintaining their winning form with a comfortable victory against Real Betis last weekend. Valencia also enjoyed success in their most recent outing, claiming an impressive away win at Real Sociedad.
Barcelona have dominated this fixture in recent years and, despite having little left to play for, will be keen to end their La Liga campaign on a high.

Valencia team overview
Valencia return to Mestalla after a remarkable 4-3 away victory at Real Sociedad last weekend. Trailing 3-2 deep into stoppage time, and despite being reduced to ten men in the 70th minute, Javier Guerra struck in the 93rd and 98th minute to seal a sensational comeback win for Los Che.
Carlos Corberán’s side have been in mixed form in the past six weeks, losing three and winning three of eight La Liga fixtures. Despite their inconsistencies, last week’s brilliant win in San Sebastian lifted Valencia above Sociedad into 9th place.
Los Che have struggled to maintain consistency in their home performances this season. Boasting only the 12th best home record, Valencia lost two of their last four La Liga games at Mestalla.
Head coach Corberán is unable to call on six first-team players on Saturday. Eray Cömert is suspended following a red card, while Arnaut Danjuma (muscle), José Copete (meniscus), José Luis Gayà (thigh), Lucas Beltrán (muscle) and Renzo Saravia (hamstring) are all ruled out through injury.

Barcelona team overview
Barcelona bring their La Liga campaign to a conclusion after a fine 3:1 win against Real Betis last weekend. Raphina made a successful return to the starting XI with the Brazilian forward scoring his 12th and 13th goals of the season in a comfortable victory at the Camp Nou.
The La Liga champions have been in superb form in the final months of the season, recording 12 wins and only one defeat in their last 13 league fixtures.
On the road, Hansi Flick’s side won five of their last six games, but did slip to a 1:0 reversal at Alaves earlier this month.
Still, recent results against Valencia should give La Blaugrana plenty of confidence this weekend. Barcelona scored 18 goals while winning their last three encounters since the start of 2025. The Catalans picked up a 5:0 victory on their last visit to Mestalla 15 months ago.
Head coach Flick has two expected absentees ahead of the trip to Valencia. Injured forwards Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres are both unavailable for the visitors.
