Trabzonspor warmed up for Friday’s Türkiye Kupası final with a disappointing 3-0 home defeat against Gençlerbirliği last weekend. Late goals from Franco Tongya (88') and Metehan Mimaroğlu (90+3') sealed a vital victory for the visitors.

Before their recent dip in performances, The Anatolian Eagle had been in good form, recording seven wins while remaining unbeaten in nine fixtures. 

Head coach Palut has a handful of players missing for Friday’s Turkish Cup final. Blaž Kramer (muscle), Guilherme Haubert Sityá (muscle), Josip Ćalušić (muscle), Muhammet Tunahan Taşçı (muscle) and Ufuk Akyol (cruciate ligament) are all ruled out through injury.
