St Liege have been mostly a mid-table team in recent seasons, consistently failing to secure a place in Europe. Their last appearance was back in 2020/21 when they competed in the Europa League. This year, they have a chance to secure it, considering they are in 8th place with just two points away from the desired 7th place and a Conference League Playoffs. Even though reaching the playoffs won't be an easy task, the Reds are in good form and have every reason to be optimistic about their chances. 

Midfielder Marco Ilaimaharitra suffered an injury in the previous game against Charleroi and had to leave the field after only 17 minutes. He will most likely miss the match, but that might not be such a problem considering his poor performances lately. Additionally, Marlon Fossey, Teddy Teuma, Mohammed El Hankourim, and Alexandro Calut should remain sidelined with their injuries.

Antwerp had really good few seasons behind them, constantly finishing in the top five spots. However, this season, they aren't on that level and missed the Championship Group by nine points!
