FC Midtjylland come into Monday’s vital Superliga fixture in high spirits after a hard-fought 2-1 win at Brøndby last weekend. Franculino Djú stepped off the bench to score his 17th goal of the season as Mike Tullberg’s side cut the gap to AGF to five points.

The Wolves had dropped points in each of their three previous league fixtures and have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last five matches.

While tough to beat at MCH Arena, the hosts have struggled to convert draws into wins this season, with Tullberg’s men held in five of their 13 home Superliga fixtures.

Head coach Tullberg will be forced into at least one change to his starting XI on Monday, with Ousmane Diao suspended after his red card in last week’s win at Brøndby.

AGF make the trip to MCH Arena after dropping two points in a keenly contested 1-1 draw against Nordsjælland last weekend. Trailing for more than 70 minutes, Frederik Tingager’s late goal rescued a valuable point for the Whites.

Still on track to claim a first-ever Superliga title, and their first Danish top-flight crown since 1986, AGF retain a five-point lead at the top of the division with just six games remaining.

The visitors have shown signs of nerves in recent performances, with three of their last four league games ending in draws. AGF needed late equalisers in two of those stalemates.

Clean sheets have been rare for the league leaders, with BTTS landing consistently during that period. Only one of their last eight matches failed to see both teams score. 

Head coach Jakob Poulsen has no reported injury issues ahead of this weekend’s fixture.
