Lecce vs Fiorentina prediction 20.04.2026 | Serie A

Lecce have been a relegation candidate for the past three seasons since their return to Serie A. Still, they managed to survive somehow in each of those seasons. This year, the "Giallorossi" found themselves in an OK position around the middle of the season. However, since mid-February, they have been atrocious, losing six of the following seven games and dropping to 18th place. Right now, they are on level with points with Cremonese, and we expect a battle for survival between these two to the very last game of the season. 

After a 2:0 loss to Bologna in the previous game, coach Eusebio Di Francesco spoke to the media. He said Bologna were a better team and pointed out that they really struggled offensively, creating only a couple of chances. The coach added that they need to improve for the remaining matches.

The team should have no new injuries, but the players who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - Medon Berisha, Francesco Camarda, Kialonda Gaspar, and Riccardo Sottil.

Fiorentina had one of the worst starts to the season in a very, very long time. Viola spent most of the season in the danger zone due to their terrible start, but as the season progressed, they looked better and better. It was evident they do not belong at the bottom of the league table. Right now, they are one of the hottest teams in Serie A, and we can safely say those struggling days are well behind them. Still, because of that terrible start, Viola are in 15th place with 35 points and are nowhere near the European spots. However, at least they created some breathing space between them and the bottom three teams.

Two important players, Albert Gudmundsson and Nicolo Fagioli, served their suspensions in the previous Serie A game against Lazio and will be available. Meanwhile, Marco Brescianini, Niccolo Fortini, Moise Kean, and Tariq Lamptey should remain sidelined with their injuries.
