On the night between Wednesday and Thursday, Scotland and Brazil will face off in their final game of the Group phase. Scotland have won three points thus far, and a draw would be enormous, as it would most likely mean a place in the knockout phase. Meanwhile, Brazil are looking for a win to potentially secure the first place in Group C.
Let's break down the game and find the best possible bet for this World Cup tie.

Scotland team overview
Scotland opened the World Cup with a 1:0 win over Haiti. Despite winning all three points, it was a very close match that could have gone either way. The lack of creativity and, generally, a lack of talent up front were evident from the start. That was even more evident in the second game against Morocco, where they really struggled in open play. Even though they lost 1- 0, the impression was that they are nowhere near Morocco's level, and it will be extremely hard for them to secure a positive result against Brazil. Now, the Scotts need just one point from the match, but that will be a challenge considering what we have seen from them thus far.
According to credible sources, three players missed training ahead of the Brazil match - Lewis Ferguson, Aaron Hickey, and Scott McKenna. On the other hand, Kieran Tierney, who suffered a minor injury in the previous game against Morocco, was ready and should be in the starting lineup.

Brazil team overview
Brazil had a pretty underwhelming start to the tournament, drawing 1:1 with Morocco. Even though Brazil created some chances, the impression was that Morocco was a better team overall. Then, they bounced back later with a 3:0 win over Scotland, but we would argue the performance itself wasn't as impressive as the scoreline suggests. Generally speaking, after those first two games, football pundits weren't impressed by their performances. The bookies agree, considering the odds on them winning the World Cup have risen considerably.
In the previous game against Haiti, Raphinha suffered an injury and had to leave the field after 40 minutes. He will miss the upcoming game, and there is a question whether he will be ready for the knockout phase as well.

Prediction
Scotland went under 2.5 goals in both games in the tournament as they won 1:0 against Haiti and lost 1:0 agaisnt Morocco. Since they need only one point for a potential advancement to the knockout phase, we believe they will try with an ultra-defensive formation and try to "park the bus". Also, we have seen just how limited they are on offense in the first two games, but especially against Morocco. For the entire game, they haven't had a shot on the goal and have generally looked atrocious on offense.
Meanwhile, Brazil went under 2.5 goals in one of the first two games. While they have talent up front, they aren't really delivering. Three goals against Haiti and one against Morocco isn't that great.
While we expect a win for Brazil, we feel that an under 2.5 goals bet has a lot more value. Considering all the above, but especially Scotland's terrible offense, we believe that an under 2.5 goals bet is the best option for this World Cup tie.
3 Reasons why we should see fewer than three goals
- Scotland went under 2.5 goals in both WC games
- Scotland scored just one goal in the first two matches
- Brazil scored "only" four goals in two games thus far
Main prediction Scotland - Brazil
Under 2.5 goals
