Rapid have made a strong start to the new domestic campaign and arrive in Vienna having won 2-1 away at SV Ried. That result followed their emphatic European victory in Estonia, meaning they have won both of their competitive matches since the start of August. 

The biggest positive from the first leg was Rapid's attacking dominance. Their 23 shots and eight attempts on target demonstrated their ability to consistently penetrate Paide's defence.

However, Rapid do have several players unavailable. Recent reports list Daniel Nunoo, Claudy Mbuyi, Lorenz Szladits, Romeo Amane, Jakob Schöller, Martin Ndzie and Jannes Marcelin among their injury absences.

Paide face an extremely difficult task after conceding four goals at home. Their 1-4 defeat was particularly concerning because they were unable to cope with Rapid's sustained possession and attacking pressure. 

They had only 24.3% of the ball, and although three of Rapid's four goals were scored in the final ten minutes of regulation time, this highlights Paide's defensive vulnerability during crucial stages of the game, when pressure from the opposition is mounting and players' physical condition is no longer optimal.

Paide also suffered an injury concern during the first leg when experienced defender Nikita Baranov required treatment. Their defensive unit will need a major improvement if they are to prevent another heavy defeat in Vienna.
