SK Slovan Bratislava vs Mjallby AIF prediction 11.08.2026 | Champions League qualifying

SK Slovan Bratislava return to Tehelne Pole on Tuesday after claiming an impressive come-from-behind 2:1 victory against Mjallby last week.

Trailing to Elliot Stroud’s second-half penalty, Slovan turned the contest around through Suleiman Camara’s 78th-minute equaliser and Manasse Kianga’s stoppage-time winner.

Yaya Toure’s side secured their place in the third round qualifying stage following a 3:1 aggregate victory against Iberia. 

Slovan have proven difficult to beat at Tehelne Pole, losing only two of their previous 16 competitive home fixtures. The Slovakian champions also finished last season in strong form, winning seven of their final nine league matches while they have begun the new campaign with two wins from two. 

Suleiman Camara and Manasse Kianga are in contention to earn recalls after both made goalscoring substitute appearances last week.

Mjallby AIF make the trip to Slovakia after slipping to a 1:0 defeat against Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan on Saturday. Simon Olsson’s first-half strike settled the contest at Strandvallen.

Karl Marius Aksum’s men have struggled in recent weeks, with one draw and three defeats recorded in their last four matches across all competitions. 

Over a longer period, the Swedes have won just one of their last 13 matches since May (W1, D6, L7)

Mjallby have been particularly unconvincing on their travels, failing to win six of their previous seven competitive away fixtures.

Competing in their first-ever Champions League campaign, Mjallby secured a convincing 3:0 aggregate victory against Lincoln Red Imps in the previous round.

However, that victory has been a rare highlight this season, and Karl Marius Aksum’s side now face an uphill battle after their first-leg defeat against Slovan.

Head coach Aksum is expected to remain without Timo Stavitski, who has been sidelined with a back injury.
