Karlovac vs Dinamo Zagreb prediction 19.11.2025 | Croatian Cup

Only a few years ago, Karlovac were playing in the fifth tier of Croatian football. Now, they are fighting for promotion to the strongest competition in the country. Karlovac are currently five points behind Rudes, probably the strongest team in Prva NL. 

Karlovac haven't played well recently, winning only one of their last eight matches. In the previous game, they lost 1-0 on the road against Dugopolje. That was another match in which Karlovac didn't show anything near enough, especially in the attack. 

Karlovac have had big problems scoring lately. They scored only six goals in the last eight matches. Igor Pamic's team is still the best-scoring team in Prva NL with 22 goals in 15 games, but they have to find their attacking form from the start of the season to even have a chance to compete with Rudes. 

Dinamo Zagreb's dominance in Croatian football is comparable only to Bayern's in the Bundesliga. However, the current campaign could be challenging as they are currently second on the table with four points fewer than Hajduk Split. 

Dinamo Zagreb didn't play well recently. They won only one of the last five matches across all competitions. In the most recent outing, they lost 2-1 on the road against Istra 1961. The guests ended the game with 65% ball possession and 32 shots on the goal, but the home side still left Dinamo empty-handed. 

There were many discussions in the Croatian media in recent days about Dinamo's head coach, Mario Kovacevic. However, the board confirmed that they fully support Kovacevic, who will continue his campaign with the best Croatian club. 

Ismael Bennacer, Scott McKenna, Matteo Perez Vinlof, Arber Hoxha, Monsef Bakrar, Fran Topic, and Branko Pavic played for their national teams in the previous days and most of them will skip the upcoming cup tie against Karlovac. Also, Ronael Pierre-Gabriel, Raul Torrente, Moris Valincic, and Moreno Zivkovic are injured and unavailable for Wednesday's game.
