Gimnasia LP vs Atletico Tucuman prediction 01.09.2025 | LPA

Gimnasia come into Monday’s clash aiming to improve their form after a mixed run of results in recent weeks. El Lobo won two of their last four league matches, but slipped to a narrow 1:0 defeat at San Martín last time out. That result leaves them sitting 11th in the LPA standings.

Goals have been in desperately short supply for Gimnasia this season. The home side scored just nine goals in 17 league fixtures, while six of their last nine matches finished with under 2.5 goals scored. 

Head coach Alejandro Orfila has no reported injury issues this week. Marcelo Torres is expected to feature in the GImnasia attack.

Atlético Tucumán ended a four-match winless streak in style last week with an excellent 3:0 victory against Talleres. Favio Orsi’s men had failed to win any of their previous four league outings. Despite that victory, Tucumán still sit just one place above their hosts in 10th.

Tucuman have a dreadful away record this season, picking up just four points from eight away games.Scoring goals has been a consistent problem for the visitors. They have managed only 16 in 17 league games played this season, with veteran forward Leandro Díaz their top contributor with five goals. 

Like Gimnasia, Tucumán’s fixtures have been typically low-scoring, with seven of their last ten finishing under 2.5 goals.

Head coach Lucas Pusineri will be forced into at least one alteration to his selection on Monday.  Clever Ferreira misses out after picking up a red card in last week's 3:0 win against Talleres. Ramiro Rodríguez stands by to earn a recall to the first XI.
