Brest have another solid mid-table season. With five league games left, they can't move much up or down on the table, and players are probably already thinking about vacation. Brest's form was terrible lately, with one draw and three defeats in the last four matches. In the previous game, Eric Roy's team played 1-1 on the road against Nantes. Mama Balde, Kamory Doumbia, and Bradley Locko are injured and will not play on Friday night against Lens. 

Lens are playing above all expectations this season. They are only one point behind league leader PSG, but with one game more played, Lens will need a lot of luck to win their second Ligue 1 title. Pierre Sage's team is playing well lately, with three wins in the last four matches. In the most recent outing, Lens won 4-1 at home in the cup semifinal against Toulouse. The hosts ended with xG of 3.26, while the guests had 0.27, so anything other than Lens' victory would feel undeserved.

Lens' head coach, Pierre Sage, was very satisfied after a victory in the cup. He said, "We didn't start the match very well. We lost possession a lot, with some uncharacteristic technical errors. Nevertheless, we scored first and then immediately capitalized by winning back possession. So, that's very good. What I also think is important to highlight is that from the moment we made the mistake that allowed them to pull it back to 2-1 and let them back into the game, we stayed focused and got back to playing."

Lens also have some missing players for Friday's game. They will be without Jonathan Gradit, Kyllian Antonio, and Regis Gurtner for the trip to Brest.
