Bradford City managed to secure promotion from League Two in the 2024/25 season and instantly had a chance to secure another promotion. They finished 4th but failed to advance from the Playoffs. Since no one expected them to be that high, it was a massive success regardless. This season, they opened well, winning at Rochdale in the EFL Cup, and followed that with two League One wins without conceding a goal! At the moment, they are at the top of the league as the only team with two wins in the first two games.

The team will only miss Stephen Humphrys. The 28-year-old striker is an important part of the rotation and last season's third-best top-goalscorer. While the results have been amazing, Humphrys's replacement, Jake Beesley, has probably been the weakest part of the team thus far. Against Burnley, the team will definitely feel Humphrys's absence. 

Burnley went between the Premier League and the Championship in the previous few years. Last season, they once again suffered relegation and are looking for an instant return. However, they haven't started the season well as they won one point in the first two games against West Brom and West Ham. Looking at their squad, they have so many talented players who could potentially have their place in the Premier League. Therefore, this bad start to the season is even more surprising. 

For the upcoming game, the club could miss their best striker, Zian Flemming. Some reports say he is injured, but there are speculations that he is close to leaving the club. Regardless, we do not expect him in the squad for the Bradford City game. Moreover, Josh Cullen, Lyle Foster, Jordan Beyer, Ashley Barnes, Jaydon Banel, and Enock Agyei, who missed the previous games, should remain sidelined.
