Blackburn had a super interesting few seasons behind them as they went from a team barely missing the playoffs to a team struggling to survive. Last season, the Rovers finished 20th, just five points away from the danger zone. However, this season, they had an excellent start. They advanced to the EFL Cup 1/32 Finals, but more impressively, they won four points against Wolves and Middlesbrough in the Championship. Those two teams are among the best teams in the league, and the Rovers can surely be satisfied with how things started this year.

Midfielder Samy Morsy suffered an injury in the previous game against Middlesbrough and had to leave the field after 69 minutes. However, according to credible sources, the injury isn't serious, and the 34-year-old could be ready. 

On the other hand, Scott Wharton, Matty Litherland, Lewis Miller, Augustus Kargbo, Dion De Neve, and Moussa Baradji should remain sidelined with their injuries. 

Sheffield United had a terrible season behind them, finishing 13th with 60 points. Considering they were one of the teams tipped to secure at least a playoff spot, it was a massive disappointment. This season, reaching the playoffs should be their primary goal. 

The Blades opened the season with a win over Mansfield in the EFL Cup, followed by two goalless draws in the Championship against Birmingham and Swansea. So, despite being unbeaten, we were not really impressed by the Blades.

The latest addition to the team, Kalvin Phillips, will remain sidelined with a muscle injury. However, he is close to making a return, and we should expect him back in a couple of weeks. Moreover, striker Ryan One, who missed the previous game with a hamstring injury, will also most likely miss the Blackburn game.
