Bodo/Glimt vs NEC Nijmegen prediction 25.08.2026 | Champions League Qualifiers

Due to a different football calendar than most European countries, Bodo/Glimt are in full steam, already having played 17 rounds in the Eliteserien. They have been excellent, securing a 13-2-2 W-D-L record and sitting in the top spot. In the previous Champions League season, Bodo/Glimt were simply amazing, beating teams such as Manchester City, Inter, and Atlético Madrid... So, many football fans definitely hope to see them in the Champions League again. 

In the previous game against NEC Nijmegen, Ole Blomberg sustained an injury and was replaced in the 76th minute. However, according to the latest news, the injury isn't too serious, and the 26-year-old should be ready for the second leg.

Meanwhile, August Mikkelsen, Hakon Evjen, and Jostein Maurstad Gundersen will most likely remain sidelined with their injuries. 

NEC Nijmegen had a magnificent campaign last season, finishing 3rd in the Eredivisie. Over the summer, they lost some good players like Kodai Sano, Basar Onal, and Eli Dasa, but also brought some interesting ones in return. Unfortunately, they haven't been too great at the start of this season. Yes, they eliminated Olympiacos Piraeus in the previous round, but haven't been great overall, winning only once in five games across competitions. So, there is a big question of whether they are capable of overcoming a two-goal deficit. 

Deveron Fonville sustained a knock in the previous game against Bodo/Glimt and is questionable for the second leg. Moreover, five more important players who missed the previous leg should remain sidelined - Perr Schuurs, Philippe Sandler, Sami Ouaissa, Koki Ogawa, and Ahmetcan Kaplan. The injuries of these players could very much be the reason for an underwhelming record recently.
