Al Nassr FC come into Thursday’s fixture after a disappointing defeat in the final of AFC Champions League Two against Gamba Osaka last weekend. Deniz Hümmet’s first-half goal secured a first-ever CL2 triumph for the Japanese side. 

Now turning their attention back to the SPL, Al Nassr know a win will secure the title, but the hosts have dropped points in two of their last three league fixtures. Jorge Jesus’s side slipped to a 3:1 defeat at Al-Qadsiah before a vital 1:1 draw against title rivals Al Hilal last week. That point maintained the hosts two point cushion coming into the final weekend of the campaign. 

A dominant home record should give Al Nassr plenty of confidence this week. The Knights of Najd won 14 and lost just one of 16 league games at Al-Awwal Park this season. 

Head coach Jesus has four expected absentees this week. Sami Al-Najei and Raghed Al-Najjar are both ruled out with cruciate ligament injuries, while Abdullah Al-Khaibari (hamstring) and Marcelo Brozović (groin) are also unavailable.

Damac FC face their final fixture of the SPL season following a vital 3:0 win against Al-Fayha lifted them outside of the relegation zone. Abdelkader Bedrane’s second-half brace secured a much-needed victory for Fábio Carille’s men. 

Now two points clear of Al Riyadh coming into this weekend’s final round of fixtures, a draw will likely secure Damac’s safety, with the visitors in possession of a superior goal difference. 

The visitors have a poor away record, though, losing nine of 16 away games this season. Damac lost their last three away fixtures including a 2:1 defeat at Al Ittihaad in their most recent road trip.
