Al Masry vs Smouha prediction 05.01.2026 | League Cup

Al Masry have another solid season. They don't seem good enough to compete for the Premier League trophy, but the team from Suez Stadium should be just behind the best teams in the country. In the League Cup, Al Masry played well and with seven points from three matches, are in a good position to progress to the knockout phase. Nabil Kouki's team has been excellent lately, with five victories in the last six games across all competitions. In the most recent outing, Al Masry won 1-0 at home against Haras El Hodood. 

Al Masry are active in the current transfer window. They are very interested in winger Yaw Annor, who played in 12 league matches for National Bank Egypt this season. According to the reports, Anwar expressed willingness to join Al Masry. 

Al Masry's main strength is their defense. They conceded only two goals in the last four matches and if they found a way to improve offensively, Nabil Kouki's team could even have a chance against the best teams in Egypt. 

Al Masry's Khaled Sobhi, Ahmed Eid, and Salah Mohsen are at the Africa Cup of Nations and will not play on Monday afternoon.

Smouha's main problem is their offense. They scored only three goals in the last four matches, and the board should focus on improving offense in the current transfer window. Interestingly, Smouha doesn't have a player with more than three goals this season.
