The Saudi Pro League season closes with a game that means far more to one side than the other. Al Hilal arrive knowing the equation is painfully simple. Win, then wait and hope rivals Al Nassr stumble somewhere else. It is a slightly uncomfortable position for Simone Inzaghi’s side because even victory might not be enough. Still, the pressure is there, and pressure can do strange things in football.
For Al-Fayha, survival was always the real target. That job is already done. The atmosphere at the stadium could therefore feel oddly relaxed compared to the tension surrounding the visitors. Pedro Emanuel’s men are playing for pride now, maybe also for momentum heading into the summer. Bookmakers have made Al Hilal heavy favourites, understandably so, although final-day fixtures often drift away from logic once emotions take over.

There have been 10 meetings between Al-Fayha and Al Hilal since 2022. The Blue Waves won seven of those matches and have taken each of the last four. Al-Fayha managed only one victory, while two games ended level. Interestingly, five of the previous six meetings saw both teams score.
Al-Fayha team overview
The Orange have not exactly been spectacular this season, although there has been quiet progress. Tenth place with 38 points may not sound glamorous, yet it is already an improvement on last year’s return. In a league increasingly dominated by elite spending, stability sometimes matters more than people admit.
Form coming into this finale is less encouraging. Pedro Emanuel’s side lost their last two matches by a combined 5-1 scoreline and confidence probably took a hit there.
Still, home form offers a little reassurance. Al-Fayha lost just once in their previous four matches at King Salman Sport City Stadium, including an entertaining 4-2 win over Al Riyadh.
Brazilian winger Jason has quietly become one of the club’s most reliable attacking outlets with five goals and eight assists. The 31-year-old should start again alongside Abdullah Radif, who, somewhat surprisingly, is still waiting for his first league goal of the campaign.

Al Hilal team overview
Al Hilal have coped with the weight of expectation impressively this season. The Blue Waves escaped with a draw against Al Nassr thanks to a goal deep into stoppage time, and honestly, the tension was obvious by then. Inzaghi’s side suddenly looked human for a change.
The response against Neom SC helped steady things. A controlled 2-0 win, alongside the King Cup victory over Al Kholood, means Al Hilal have won five of their last six matches.
Still, away form feels slightly less convincing than the headlines suggest. Two victories from four league trips is respectable, of course, but perhaps not dominant enough for a club expected to lead everything comfortably.
Marcos Leonardo continues to carry the attack with 13 league goals already. Malcom has added creativity and pace, contributing seven goals and nine assists himself.
Hamad Al-Yami remains out with a knee problem, while Kalidou Koulibaly is also expected to miss the match through injury.

Prediction
Al Hilal should edge this one 2-1, although it may feel tense deeper into the second half than their supporters would like. The Blue Waves have won seven of the last 10 meetings with Al-Fayha and arrive unbeaten in the league all season. Al-Fayha usually score at home, however, which makes a clean sheet slightly doubtful against a side playing with enormous title pressure.
Three reasons we don’t expect both teams to score
- Al Fayha have scored in each of their last 11 home matches.
- Al Hilal failed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last ten matches.
- Bets on BTTS – Yes won in five of the last six meetings between Al Fayha and Al Hilal.
