Super 6 round 54 predictions and tips
The 2026 PGA Championship will be played from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania. Scottie Scheffler heads into the tournament as the defending champion after dominating last year's edition with a five-shot victory. Rory McIlroy is expected to be his biggest challenger, especially after winning the Masters for the second straight year just a few weeks ago.
This will be the second PGA Championship held at Aronimink and the first PGA Tour event there since the 2018 BMW Championship. The course is a long par-70 layout measuring close to 7,300 yards. Aronimink is known for punishing wayward shots with tight fairways, heavy bunkering, and tricky greens.

The PGA Championship betting odds are led by Scheffler, although McIlroy is not far behind. Behind the leading two are Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Young, and Jon Rahm to complete the top five.
Scheffler continues to justify the short odds. The World No.1 has finished runner-up in three consecutive tournaments and already has a dominant PGA Championship victory from last year. He has shown incredible consistency in majors over the years. Across his last 21 appearances, Sheffler has collected four wins, three runner-up finishes, nine additional top-10 results, and only one missed cut.
McIlroy has already collected six major titles in his career. His form at Augusta was outstanding, especially during the opening two rounds. He continues to show that the majors are clearly his main focus. The Northern Irishman also has good memories of Aronimink, where he shot a course-record 62 during the 2018 BMW Championship. McIlroy already owns two PGA Championship titles and has finished inside the top 12 in three of the last four editions.
DeChambeau is one of the most dangerous players in major tournaments despite having a few question marks. He has already won two LIV Golf events in 2026 and finished runner-up at the PGA Championship in each of the last two years. Although he missed the cut at the Masters, his recent major record is still excellent. This includes the 2024 US Open victory at Pinehurst. Aronimink may not suit his aggressive style as perfectly as previous PGA venues, but DeChambeau has the power and confidence to challenge anyone in the field.
Young is enjoying the best season of his career and already has victories at The Players Championship and Doral in 2026. He also came close to winning the Masters, eventually finishing tied third, which was his second top-five finish in his last three major appearances. Young has already shown he can compete at the PGA Championship too, finishing T3 on debut in 2022, only one shot behind Justin Thomas. His strong par-4 scoring this season should also suit Aronimink.
Rahm completes the top group of favourites and still looks capable of winning any major when his game clicks. The Spaniard recently won LIV Golf Mexico and continues to lead the LIV standings. His major form has remained solid with a top-eight finish at last year’s PGA Championship. Although he struggled at Augusta, Rahm has already proven himself as a two-time major champion and will be highly motivated to add the Wanamaker Trophy to his collection. A PGA Championship victory would also leave him needing only The Open to complete the career Grand Slam.
Schauffele has finished inside the top 25 in 27 of his 35 major appearances and won both the PGA Championship and The Open in 2024. His recent form also looks encouraging, with four straight top-12 finishes, including a strong result at The Players. While his short game has been slightly inconsistent this season, Schauffele still looks close to returning to his best level again.
Fitzpatrick has had one of the strongest performances on the PGA Tour this season. The Englishman has already won the Valspar Championship, RBC Heritage, and Zurich Classic in recent weeks, while also finishing runner-up at The Players. He handled major conditions well last season too. Fitzpatrick collected two top-10 finishes, and he already knows what it takes to win on the biggest stage after lifting the 2022 U.S. Open title. Aronimink’s demanding setup should suit his accurate style perfectly.
Cantlay continues to fly slightly under the radar despite showing signs of strong form again this season. The American has finished T14 or better in five of his nine starts this year, including solid performances at the Valspar Championship, RBC Heritage, and the Masters. Still searching for his first win since 2022, Cantlay has plenty to prove.

Scottie Scheffler odds to win the major - 5.00
Scheffler already owns one of the strongest PGA Championship records in the field. His victory last year was commanding, and he continues to deliver elite results almost every week. Aronimink also looks like a course that suits his calm and controlled style perfectly.
Cameron Young to finish in top 5 (including ties) - 3.80
Young is a genuine major championship threat. He won The Players earlier this season and came extremely close to lifting the US Masters before eventually falling short. Still, his recent performances show that he is constantly around the top of the leaderboard in the biggest tournaments. Another deep run at Aronimink looks very realistic.
Patrik Cantlay to finish in top 10 (including ties) - 5.25
Cantlay has been one of the more consistent players on tour this season, landing near the top of the leaderboard in more than half of his starts. His steady all-around game should work well at Aronimink, and he'll be able to finish inside the top 10.
