Andraz Sporar had an early effort ruled out for offside, while Vanja Drkusic struck the woodwork during an encouraging first-half performance.

Goce Sedloski’s side are winless in nine matches since a 5:0 victory against Liechtenstein in September 2025.

North Macedonia have lost four of their last six fixtures, scoring only once during that sequence. Defensive frailties remain equally concerning, with the visitors conceding 14 goals across heavy defeats against Wales, Denmark and Switzerland.

A lack of firepower has compounded their problems. North Macedonia failed to score in five successive matches, including goalless draws against Ireland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sedloski has no confirmed injury absentees ahead of Tuesday's contest. Darko Churlinov, Jani Atanasov and Azer Omeragikj are among those pushing for recalls after the defeat against Switzerland.

Eljif Elmas and Enis Bardhi should continue in midfield, while Bojan Miovski is expected to retain his place in attack.
