Port Vale vs Stockport prediction 27.10.2025 | League One

After one year in League Two, Port Vale returned to the third tier of football in England. Darren Moore's team invested a lot between the two seasons, so they didn't expect to be in danger of relegation. However, after 13 league rounds, Port Vale collected only 13 points and are only one position above the drop zone. Moore's team is showing some signs of improvement lately, as they have lost only two of the last eight matches in all competitions. In the previous game, Port Vale lost 1-0 on the road against Wigan. The home side had ten players for the whole second half, but they still scored and left Moore's side without points. 

After a disappointing defeat against Wigan, the manager, Darren Moore, said he expects a response from the players during the week in training and the upcoming game against Stockport. 

Port Vale have some problems with missing players. Liam Gordon and Mitchell Clark are injured and will not play on Monday night, while Jaheim Headley, Cameron Humphreys, and Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel are questionable. 

Last season, Stockport ended third in League One, and repeating that success would be a huge success. Dave Challinor's team is currently only one point behind the league leader, Cardiff, so even the promotion hopes are not unjustified. Stockport won three of the last four matches. In the previous game, they won 1-0 at home against Exeter. The home side didn't impress in that match, but they were still good enough to take all three points. 

Stockport are impressive under the head coach Dave Challinor, but they could lose him soon. According to the reports, he is the favorite to become the new Norwich manager if Liam Manning loses his job. 

Stockport doesn't have a clean bill of health, either. Edun Tayo and Owen Dodgson are unavailable for the game at Vale Park. Also, Lewis Bate, Brad Hills, Arttu Hoskonen, and Malik Mothersille are questionable, and their status will be known closer to the kickoff.
