Leeds had an excellent last season, finishing 14th with 47 points. Everyone saw them struggling to survive, so this 14th place is definitely something they can survive. However, they proved they are a good, stable team under Daniel Farke. 

Over the summer, they only improved the roster, and judging from the opening games, they are looking really good. Many football pundits have them finishing in the top half of the league table this season. The Whites won 1:0 against Nottingham in the Premier League opener, and then won against the same team in the EFL Cup 2:0. Both wins came on the road, which is particularly impressive, considering most of their last season's good results came at Elland Road. For comparison, they had two wins in 19 PL games and have already secured two wins against Premier League teams. 

For the Brentford game, coach Farke shouldn't have any new injuries, but Gabriel Gudmundsson, Wilfried Gnonto, Ilia Gruev, and Mateo Joseph should remain sidelined with their injuries.

Brentford had an amazing first part of the season, but then put their foot off the gas in the last part. However, the Bees still finished 9th, missing out on Europe due to a worse goal difference than Brighton; however, since they do not have a too-deep squad, that does not necessarily have to be a bad thing.

This season, the Bees absolutely dismantled Tottenham, winning 3:0 and even missing a penalty kick. They looked absolutely great and continued with such performances in the EFL Cup, beating Birmingham 6:1. Their direct style of football has been super interesting, and it is paying off early in the season once again.

In the previous game against Birmingham, Yegor Yarmolyuk suffered an injury and had to leave the field after 48 minutes. At this moment, he is listed as questionable, while Antoni Milambo and Sepp van den Berg should remain sidelined with their injuries.
