After a few seasons in the lower levels, Horsens are again in the top Danish league and are determined to avoid another relegation. Most pundits saw Horsens as the worst team in the Superliga before the season started, but after ten rounds, they sit solidly mid-table with 12 points from ten matches. Horsens are unbeaten in the last three matches across all competitions. In the most recent outing, Niki Zimling's team played 3-3 on the road against Silkeborg. The visitors created 3.34 xG, and although they were close to defeat, it would feel pretty unfair if Horsens left empty-handed.

Horsens' head coach, Niki Zimling, wasn't satisfied with how his team played in the second half. He commented, "We moved away from some of the principles and the things we did well in the first half. We became too man-oriented and were dragged around a little too much, which created some uncertainty and a lack of clarity."

Christian Vestergaard should be the only one unavailable for Friday's tie against Randers.

Last season was one of the worst for Randers in the previous decade. They finished with only one point more than the relegation zone. Randers hopes for a less stressful 2026/27 campaign. Randers have problems with injuries. Benjamin Orn, Lucas Lissens, and talented 17-year-old Felix Sommer are unavailable, while Wessel Dammers, John Borkengren, and Frederik Lauenborg are questionable for Friday. The biggest news for Randers fans in the coming days will be Wessel Dammers' condition, because if the captain can't play, we should expect veteran Daniel Hoegh to continue starting.
