Galatasaray vs Barcelona prediction 13.10.2026 | UEFA Champions League

Galatasaray come into the match on the back of a 3-1 home victory over Kasımpaşa. Domestically, it seems the Turkish giants are running away with the league once again, sitting top of the table, albeit by only a narrow margin. However, they are yet to prove that they can replicate the same dominant style in Europe.

The biggest positive is the return of Victor Osimhen. The striker missed around a month with an injury but returned against Kasımpaşa, strengthening Okan Buruk's attacking options ahead of Barcelona's visit. Galatasaray also rotated several important players in that game, including Leroy Sané and Roland Sallai, apparently with the Champions League fixture in mind. 

However, there is a potential midfield concern after Lucas Torreira was sent off against Kasımpaşa. His availability for Barcelona will therefore be an important factor.

Galatasaray lost their opening Champions League fixture despite enjoying 62% possession against Sporting, highlighting that possession alone did not translate into sufficient match outcome.

Barcelona are in outstanding form. Hansi Flick's side have won eight consecutive La Liga matches and recently defeated Getafe 3-0, taking their league record to 24 points from 24 available. 

Their Champions League campaign also began emphatically, with a 5-1 home victory over Feyenoord. 

There is, however, one important attacking absence. Raphinha will miss the Galatasaray game after suffering a thigh problem. The Brazilian had scored 12 goals in his seven La Liga appearances before the injury, meaning his absence removes a major source of goals and creativity. 

Lamine Yamal remains the major threat. He has seven goals and five assists in eight La Liga appearances, while Gabriel Jesus scored in his first La Liga start for Barcelona against Getafe.
