Como have been one of Serie A's more impressive early-season performers. Their latest result was particularly encouraging, as Cesc Fabregas' side defeated Fiorentina 3-1 away from home. 

As for their home performances at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, Como are still going strong, maintaining an unbeaten record of two wins against RB Leipzig and Parma and a draw with Roma.

However, Como have suffered attacking setbacks. Moise Kean is reportedly unavailable with a leg injury, while Assane Diao is also out after suffering a thigh injury during the Champions League defeat to Feyenoord. Diao had scored against Feyenoord before being forced off, leaving Fabregas with fewer attacking options.

United arrive in considerably poorer form. Michael Carrick's side have won only one of their first seven Premier League matches and are currently 13th. Their latest outing ended in a 1-1 draw at Leeds, despite United taking the lead through Bryan Mbeumo. 

A 4-0 win over Champions League debutants Sabah was the only bright spark in the Red Devils' horrific run of results over the past month or so. Last week, they suffered a 2-0 away defeat to Atletico Madrid.

The injury list is another concern. United are currently reported to be without Tom Heaton, Manuel Ugarte, Luke Shaw, Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui, Kobbie Mainoo and Benjamin Sesko. The absences particularly affect defensive depth and midfield options, while Sesko's absence further reduces attacking alternatives.
