After a disastrous Premier League campaign under Thomas Frank, Tottenham Hotspur decided to make a late change on the bench. They brought in Igor Tudor as a temporary solution until the end of the season. The Croatian has already taken charge of two matches, but he is still searching for his first victory.
The Spurs are currently stuck in a four-game losing streak. There is already growing speculation that the club's hierarchy is actively exploring managerial options for the next season. The biggest question, however, is what division the team will be playing in.
They sit dangerously close to the relegation zone, with several teams behind them fighting desperately to escape the drop. At the same time, Tottenham still have a major European test ahead, as they are set to face Atlético Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 next week.
In this article, we examine the leading candidates according to the bookmakers and offer our view on who could take over the club.

The next Spurs manager odds suggest that Mauricio Pochettino is the clear favourite at 2.00 to return to Tottenham Hotspur. Roberto De Zerbi follows at 3.60, while interim boss Igor Tudor sits third at 8.00, reflecting his current results with the club.
| Manager | Odds |
| Mauricio Pochettino | 2.00 |
| Roberto De Zerbi | 3.60 |
| Igor Tudor | 8.00 |
| Robbie Keane | 13.00 |
| Marco Rose | 15.00 |
| Andoni Iraola | 17.00 |
A return to North London suddenly feels realistic again. The Argentine delivered some of the most memorable years in the club's modern history, guiding Spurs to the 2019 Champions League final and establishing them as a consistent top-four contender.
Currently, he is under contract with the United States men's national soccer team. He will lead the team at the FIFA 2026 World Cup. However, his deal does not extend beyond the tournament. Some rumours also suggest that Pochettino would not rule out returning even if Tottenham were relegated, because the club can still cover his salary.

Roberto De Zerbi has built a strong reputation during his spell at Brighton. He guided the club to their first-ever European qualification, secured a top-seven Premier League finish, and reached the FA Cup semi-finals. His mentality and bold tactical approach helped Brighton become a much more competitive side in the tournament.
After leaving the club, De Zerbi took charge of Olympique de Marseille, finishing second in Ligue 1 in his first season. However, disappointing results in 2026 led to his departure from the club. Now, he's free and ready for a new challenge. Tottenham could be a logical next step.

Tudor is the current man in charge at Tottenham, but his chances of keeping the role permanently appear slim. When he was first appointed as a short-term replacement, he was not even considered among the bookmakers' favourites for the job. His start has also done little to calm the situation around the club.
Tudor already looks frustrated on the touchline, being desperate for immediate results. That reaction is understandable, given the Spurs' position near the relegation zone. Ahead of the recent clash with Fulham, he described the situation bluntly, calling the survival battle "a question of life and death." Tudor himself has admitted how difficult it will be to turn things around, and realistically, it is hard to see him staying beyond this season.

Robbie Keane offers a strong connection to Hotspur's past. He remains one of the club's most memorable forwards, scoring 122 goals in 306 appearances across two spells in North London. As a manager, Keane has begun building an encouraging record. He took charge of Ferencvárosi in early 2025 and won 22 of his first 37 matches in all competitions.
He also guided the team into the Europa League knockout stages. His managerial experience is still relatively limited, but if Tottenham were to suffer relegation, the club might view Keane as a more realistic appointment.

Marco Rose was briefly among the favourites to take over at Tottenham immediately after the dismissal of Thomas Frank. The German coach has built a solid reputation in the Bundesliga, previously managing clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
However, taking charge in the middle of a relegation battle may not be the most appealing scenario. Rose may prefer to wait until the summer and begin a new project under calmer circumstances. If Tottenham are still searching for a permanent manager at the end of the season, there remains a realistic chance that the club could return with a serious offer.

Andoni Iraola was heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but the Spaniard ultimately chose to remain with Bournemouth. Under his leadership, the Cherries have continued to grow into a competitive Premier League side, and another solid campaign currently sees them sitting around mid-table. His high-pressure style has made him one of the most sought-after coaches in the league.
Iraola may feel he has taken Bournemouth close to their ceiling, which could make a bigger project appealing. Tottenham admired him before, and if the club returns with another offer, this time the outcome might be different.

The situation at Tottenham remains extremely unstable. Tudor is clearly struggling to stop the downward spiral, and his future will likely depend on whether he can somehow rescue the club from the relegation battle. In reality, the choice of the next manager could heavily depend on which division Spurs will play in next season, which is also reflected in the current Tottenham next manager odds.
Looking at the bigger picture, Pochettino still appears to be the most logical option. He has left a lasting positive impression during his previous spell and understands the club's culture. With his contract with the United States men's national soccer team set to expire after the 2026 World Cup, the timing could align perfectly for a return.
