Truro City vs Aldershot prediction 03.09.2025 | National League

Truro City come into Wednesday's National League contest after breaking a five-game losing run with a 3:0 win against Boston last weekend. Three goals scored in a nine-minute spell either side of half-time secured a much-needed victory for John Askey's men. 

A tough run of results had seen the home side lose six of seven previous matches before Saturday's much-improved performance. Truro had failed to score in two previous home defeats.

Despite picking up their first points of the season, Askey's side remain inside the relegation zone, four points behind their opponents this weekend. 

Head coach Askey reported no new injury issues after Saturday's victory, and is likely to retain the bulk of the same first XI this week. 

Aldershot make the trip to Truro now unbeaten in three matches after a thrilling 3:3 draw against Gateshead. Hady Ghandour's late goal rescued a point for the Shots. 

Tommy Widdrington's men have found their shooting boots in recent weeks. Aldershot picked up high-scoring wins against Solihull Moors (5:1) and Morecambe (4:0) before their dramatic share of the spoils last weekend. 

High-scoring outcomes have been frequent for the away side. Each of their last seven games saw a minimum of three goals scored. Thirty-four goals were scored in those seven matches - that's an average of nearly five goals per game. 

Aldershot are in better form, and will fancy their chances of at least avoiding defeat this week. The visitors are unbeaten in their last three fixtures. 

Widdrington is unlikely to make changes to his side on Wednesday. The Shots have no reported injury issues.
