Tromso vs Brann prediction 29.04.2026 | Eliteserien

After an excellent third position last season, Tromso continued their good form this year, too. They opened the campaign with 19 points in the first seven matches and are four points ahead of the next team on the table, Viking. The only defeat in the season came in the first game of the season in the cup against KFUM Oslo. Last weekend, Jorgen Vik's team won 3-1 at home against Sandefjord. That was another match in which Tromso's excellent efficiency and well-organized defense were enough for all three points. 

Tromso are the strongest home team this season. They have four wins and one draw with an 11:1 goal difference. Tromso didn't have too many successes against Brann at Romssa Arena in recent years, but that could change on Wednesday night. 

Tromso will have almost the full squad in the upcoming tie. The only players unavailable should be Jesper Grundt and Viktor Ekblom. 

Last year, Brann finished fourth, and they expected a similar 2026 season. However, in the first six matches, they collected only four points and are currently in the relegation playoff position. Brann won only one of the last four matches. In their most recent outing, they played to a 1-1 draw on the road against Rosenborg. The teams were pretty even throughout the game, so splitting points seems the most realistic outcome. 

Brann are not playing well in Eliteserien this season. Although the results are far from expectations, the head coach, Freyr Alexandersson, after a draw in Trondheim, said he still believes his team should finish among the top four in the competition.  

Interestingly, Brann have won all their points this season away from home. They have a 1-1-2 record on the road. However, the thing that still worries is that Brann conceded eight goals in those four games. 

Brann have problems with missing players. They will be without Nana Boakye, Niklas Castro, Eggert Gudmundsson, Saevar Magnusson, and Sakarias Opsahl on Wednesday in Tromso. Also, Jonas Torsvik is questionable, and his status will be clearer closer to the kickoff.
