Sevilla return to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán after a disappointing 2:1 defeat at Espanyol last weekend. After a goalless first-half, the Catalans turned the screw to secure all three points at RCDE Stadium.

Los Rojiblancos have endured a tough run of fixtures in recent weeks, with four defeats suffered in their last five La Liga games. Three of those four losses did come in away fixtures.

Still, Matías Almeyda's men have also struggled in home fixtures. Sevilla failed to win four of six La Liga games at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, including three defeats. 

A high-scoring outcome seems possible in Sunday's El Gran Derbi contest. Six of Sevilla's last games finished with over 2.5 goals scored while 20 goals were scored in six games played at this venue this season.

Sevilla have several concerns ahead of the weekend. Tanguy Nianzou and Gabriel Suazo are ruled out, while César Azpilicueta, Isaac Romero, Ruben Vargas and Adnan Januzaj are all doubtful and will require late fitness checks.

Real Betis take the short trip to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán after a well-deserved 2:1 win against Utrecht in the Europa League on Thursday. Cucho Hernández was on the scoresheet as Los Verdiblancos secured a third win in five Europa League, league phase fixtures. 

The Heliopolitanos have enjoyed an excellent run of form in recent weeks, picking up four victories, while remaining unbeaten in their last six matches. Over a longer period, Manuel Pellegrini's side have lost just one of 15 games played since September. 

Tough to beat on the road, Betis have picked up five draws and one win from six La Liga away games this season. Pellegrini's men lost just one of their last 11 away league games since March. 

Head coach Pellegrini has several issues to deal with.Antony is suspended, while Giovani Lo Celso, Héctor Bellerín and Cédric Bakambu are also unavailable for selection. Pau López faces a late fitness test to determine his availability.
