Real Sociedad's results have steadily declined since 2022/23, when they finished fourth and qualified for the Champions League. In the following two seasons, they finished sixth and 11th. However, the start to this season has been an absolute disaster, winning one game in the first nine rounds! While they improved a lot after that bad start, they are still very inconsistent. After 15 rounds, the White and Blues are sitting in 14th place with only 16 points. 

After a 1:0 loss against Alaves, coach Sergio Francisco spoke to the media. He said they gave away the first half and were unrecognizable. While he said there were positive signs in the second half, he remained unhappy and admitted they took a step back compared to previous progress.

When Girona got engaged in the title race in 2023/24, no one expected them to collapse the way they did in the following seasons. Last year, they finished 16th and are doing an even worse job this season. After 15 rounds, the Catalan team are in the relegation zone (18th place) with 12 points. Even though they are only two points away from the safe zone, their performance throughout the season has been far from impressive. The bookies do not trust them to survive in La Liga, giving them the odds between 1.85 and 1.95 to be relegated.

After a 3:0 loss against Elche, coach Michel spoke to the media. He admitted it wasn't their best performance and that they played poorly. The coach pointed out that the second and third goals came from serious mistakes and emphasized the need to focus on improvement.
