The victory means Inter have scored eight goals in their first three Serie A matches, although conceding three goals overall suggests there could still be defensive vulnerabilities against elite opposition.

Inter's attacking partnership of Martínez and Thuram will be crucial in Madrid. Their pace and physicality could cause problems for Real Madrid, particularly during transitions, as Inter are unlikely to dominate possession at the Bernabéu.
