Odense vs Silkeborg prediction 07.11.2025 | Superliga

After one season in the second level of Danish football, Odense seems good enough for their usual mid-table position. Alexander Zorniger's team played well recently, winning three of the last four matches across all competitions. Last weekend, Odense won 4-2 on the road against Nordsjaelland. The home side had ball possession and xG stats on their side, but Odense's superb efficiency was enough to secure all three points. A victory like that could provide a significant confidence boost. 

Odense are a mid-table team, but they could be much better if their defense were a little better. They are the worst defensive team in Superliga with a horrible 35 conceded goals in 14 league matches. That is something Alexander Zorniger has to fix if the team wants to remain in the safe zone. 

Odense have almost a full squad ahead of the game against Silkeborg as Bjorn Paulsen and Jacob Bonde are the only ones unavailable. We should expect the head coach, Alexander Zorniger, to field the same starting lineup that won last weekend in Farum. 

Like Odense, Silkeborg is also on course to fight for a place in the Championship group. However, the last few weeks have been worrisome as Silkeborg won only two of the previous seven matches in all competitions. In the last game, they lost 2-0 at home against Brondby. The home side were solid, especially in the second half, but the guests defended well and Silkeborg left empty-handed. 

Silkeborg's main weakness is also defense. They are the third-worst defensive team in the competition, having conceded 28 goals. Silkeborg are six points above the drop zone and improving defense could be crucial in avoiding a relegation battle. 

Silkeborg have some problems with missing players too. They will be without Alexander Busch, Alexander Madsen, and Pontus Rodin on Friday night in Odense.
