Aston Villa vs Maccabi Tel Aviv prediction 06.11.2025 | UEFA Europa League

Aston Villa return to Europa League business after a 2:0 defeat at Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend. A much-improved display from the English champions condemned the Villains to a first defeat in five EPL games.

Unai Emery´s men have enjoyed a strong run of form, winning six and losing just two of their eight most recent fixtures. The Villains also claimed wins in each of their last four games in Birmingham.  

The home side slipped to a surprise 2:1 defeat against Go Ahead Eagles in their last Europa League contest, and will be keen to bounce back to winning form in front of their own fans. Villa did claim a 1:0 win against Bologna in their only home fixture in the league phase, while they also bagged a 2:0 road victory in Rotterdam against Feyenoord. 

Head coach Emery has no new injury issues this week. Youri Tielemans remains the only confirmed absentee for the home side.

Maccabi Tel Aviv arrive in England after back-to-back Israeli Premier League victories picked up in the past ten days. Žarko Lazetić's side claimed a 3:1 win against Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona before a 2:0 road victory at Maccabi Bney Reine last weekend. 

The Yellows have enjoyed an excellent start to their domestic season, remaining unbeaten from nine games played with seven victories recorded in that period. 

Unable to transmit their Israeli Premier League performances on the continental stage, Maccabi have picked up just one point from three games completed. The Israelis fell to consecutive home defeats against Dinamo Zagreb (3:1) and FC Midtjylland (3:0) while they have lost all but one of their last five matches in this competition 

Head coach Lazetić is expected to keep faith with the same side that eased past Maccabi Bney Reine last weekend. The visitors have no reported injury issues.
