After a disappointing last season in which they finished seventh in Ligue 1, Monaco seems much better in the first months of the 2026/27 campaign. In the Conference League, they won in the opening round against CSKA in Sofia, while in the domestic league, Monaco share first place with four other teams. Felipe Luis' side went unbeaten in their first nine matches across all competitions, but that impressive run ended last weekend with a 1-0 away defeat to Lorient. That will certainly help us in the challenges ahead."

Bruno Ogbus, Berkay Yilmaz, and Florent Muslija are injured and will not travel to Monaco. However, none of the three players had a significant role in Freiburg this season.
