Mirassol vs Always Ready prediction 29.04.2026 | Copa Libertadores

After a brilliant last season and fourth position in the Brazilian Serie A, the current campaign is significantly more challenging for Mirassol. Rafael Guanaes' team punched above their weight last year, and it is not surprising that Mirassol now seems like a relegation candidate. They collected only nine points in the first 12 rounds and will have to do much better to avoid a return to Serie B.

Mirassol haven't played well lately, winning only once in the last five matches across all competitions. In the previous game, Mirassol lost 1-0 on the road against Sao Paulo. The teams were pretty even, but the hosts' better efficiency was enough to leave Mirassol empty-handed.

Expectedly, Mirassol's head coach, Rafael Guanaes, wasn't satisfied after a defeat in Sao Paulo. He said, "In my view, it's a result that doesn't reflect what the game was like. A draw would have been fairer. We had the best chances before, even more than São Paulo, but they were decisive in the chance they had."

Lucas Oliveira, Negueba, and Igor Carius are unavailable for the upcoming tie against Always Ready, while Yuri Lara is questionable.

After winning the second trophy in the domestic league last season, Always Ready are again one of the best teams in the competition. After four league rounds, they are at the top of the standings with ten points. Always Ready won the last two matches. Last weekend, they won 2-1 on the road against Guabira. The visitors didn't dominate that time, but they were good enough to secure another valuable victory. Now, Always Ready will travel to Mirassol to a match they can't allow to lose if they want to progress to the next Copa Libertadores round. 

Although Always Ready are at the top of the domestic league, there were some questions about the head coach, Jose Cesar Baldivieso, recently. The biggest concern for the team in the recent period is the offense. Always Ready scored only four goals in the last five matches. If nothing changes, it will not be surprising if the board sacks Baldivieso. 

Always Ready's defender, Luis Caicedo, received a red card in the previous Copa Libertadores round and will serve a suspension in the upcoming tie. He should be the only one unavailable for the trip to Mirassol.
