Los Angeles FC vs Toronto FC prediction 09.10.2025 | MLS

Since Los Angeles FC joined MLS, they are one of the most successful teams in the competition. The 2025 season was another good year for the team from California, as they are currently fourth in the West and could even end up at the top of the conference before the playoffs start. Los Angeles FC are in outstanding form as they have won the last five matches in a row. In the previous game, Steven Cherundolo's team won 1-0 at home against Atlanta United. The home side dominated throughout the match, but eventually broke the guests late in the second half. 

The next two matches will be challenging for Los Angeles FC because Denis Bouanga and Heung-min Son will play for their national teams. Bouanga scored 24 goals in 30 MLS matches this season, while the South Korean scored eight in nine appearances since joining from Tottenham this summer. With those two out, Steve Cherundolo's team will have big problems with offense. 

Los Angeles FC will also be without injured Aaron Long, Igor Jesus, and Odin Holm. 

Toronto FC have another bad season, as they are 22 points away from the playoff positions. Robin Fraser's team are without a victory in the previous ten games, but interestingly, eight of those ten matches ended with a draw. Last weekend, Toronto FC played 2-2 on the road against the Chicago Fire. The guests were underdogs, but they played well and deserved another point. 

Toronto FC's Jonathan Osorio and Richie Laryea are called for Canada matches in October, so the club will travel without them to Los Angeles. Besides duo, Toronto FC will also be without injured Henry Wingo, Zane Monlouis, Kevin Long, and Nickseon Gomis.
