Lorient vs PSG prediction 29.10.2025 | Ligue 1

Lorient suffered relegation from Ligue 1 in 2023/24 but managed to return to the French top-flight division instantly in the following season. This year, their goal is to survive, but that isn't going really according to plan as they found themselves in 16th place after the first nine rounds with eight points. That's around 0.9 points per game, and if they continue with such a trend, they would most likely get relegated. Last season, Saint-Etienne were relegated with 30 points, and Lorient are currently on pace to win 30 points. Still, this game against PSG is not the match where they expect points, and if they could at least secure a draw, they would be more than satisfied. 

The team's central defender, Abdoulaye Faye, served his one-game suspension in the previous game and will be available. Unfortunately, according to credible sources, he renewed his foot injury and will most likely be out with it until 2026. Additionally, Bamba Dieng, Bandiougou Fadiga, Panos Katseris, and Isaak Toure, who missed the previous matches with injuries, should remain sidelined. 

PSG came to this season after a magnificent one in which they won the triple. Considering they kept most of their key players and further improved the squad, it is fair to expect a similar season from them. Right now, after nine rounds in Ligue 1, they are in the top spot, only one point away from 2nd-placed Lens. In the Champions League, the Parisians opened the competition with all nine points in the first three rounds. 

After a 3:0 win over Brest in the previous game, coach Luis Enrique spoke to the media. He was very happy with a win, saying they were calm and relaxed. The coach also said that winning the game in Brest isn't easy, but also noted they are a consistent team that has proved they can win this type of match.
