Kalmar FF come into this weekend’s Allsvenskan contest after earning a 2:2 draw against Malmo on Monday evening.Carl Gustafsson and Charlie Rosenqvist were on the scoresheet and despite taking the lead twice, were forced to settle for a point at Guldfageln Arena.

Having made a poor start to the season, Toni Koskela’s side have picked up some form, with four wins and only two defeats in their last seven games, including a pair of friendly wins against AIK and BP. 

Koskela’s men have relied on their home form this season, with all 14 points picked up at Guldfageln Arena. Kalmar lost just one of seven home games, while they have lost all six road fixtures.

Mjallby make the trip to Kalmar looking to build on a midweek Champions League win against Lincoln Red Imps. Áki Samuelsen bagged twice as Karl Marius Aksum’s side eased to a 3:0 win.

Domestically, the Allsvenskan champions have struggled to replicate the form of last season’s remarkable title success. Mjallby come into this contest currently 10th in the division, already 18 points behind surprise leaders Sirius. 

Now winless in their last six league fixtures, Aksum’s men have struggled to turn draws into victories. Four of their last five Allsvenskan fixtures finished deadlocked. 

On the road, Mjallby have remained tough-to-beat, though. The visitors have lost just one of seven away Allsvenskan matches this season, remaining unbeaten in their six most recent matches on their travels. 

Each of their last five away games finished with BTTS, including a remarkable 4:4 draw at league leaders Sirius in their most recent road game.
