Central African Republic vs Ghana prediction 08.10.2025 | World Cup qualification

The Central African Republic is one of the weakest African teams, as they have never qualified for the World Cup or the African Cup of Nations. The current qualifications weren't much different as Rigobert Song's team collected only five points in eight rounds. The Central African Republic lost five of the last six matches. In the previous game, they lost 2-0 against Comoros. That was another match in which Song's team had too many problems in defense, so it is no wonder they went home empty-handed. 

The Central African Republic doesn't have big stars in its squad, as most of the team is playing in the domestic competition. The best two are duo from the French Ligue 2, Louis Mafouta (Guingamp) and Hugo Gambor (Troyes). Another interesting player is also a young forward, Moustapha Djimet, who is playing well this year for Dinamo Minsk. 

Although Ghana are not among the top teams of African football in the last few years, they are still one of the most respected football teams on the continent. Ghana played in four of the previous five World Cups and have a good chance to play in the next two, as they are currently at the top of the qualification group with three points more than Madagascar. With only two rounds left, Ghana can already secure a ticket for the tournament on Wednesday. Otto Addo's team played well in 2025 as they lost only one of six matches, including friendlies. In the previous game, Ghana won 1-0 at home against Mali. 

Ghana have a few superstars. One of them is Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo, who has six goals and three assists in seven Premier League matches. An important player is also Mohammed Kudus, who has five assists for Tottenham this season.  

The problem with the Ghana national team is that most of their stars are playing in the attack, while in defense, they lack superstar players. If Otto Addo finds a solution for defense, Ghana could be a very dangerous team.
