Bromley come into Thursday’s League Two contest looking to rebound from a 2:1 defeat at promotion rivals MK Dons last weekend. Marcus Ifill’s second-half strike proved consolation only as the League Two leaders slipped to only a sixth defeat of the season. 

Despite that reversL, Bromley remain four points clear of second-placed MK Dons, and six ahead of Cambridge U, coming into this fixture.

Andy Woodman’s side boast a strong home record, remaining unbeaten in 21 matches at Hayes Lane. They have won four of their last five home games.

While defensively strong, recent outings have delivered in the goal markets. Each of Bromley`s last four fixtures finished with BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored.

Head coach Woodman could make some changes to his first XI on Thursday. Zech Medley, Ben Thompson, Ben Krauhaus and Jude Arthurs could all come into the side after featuring as half-time substitutes last time out, replacing Idris Odutayo, Corey Whitely, Olufela Ajayi and William Hondermarck.

Cambridge U make the trip to Hayes Lane in high spirits after an impressive 4:0 win against Notts County last weekend. Despite being reduced to ten men following the first half-dismissal of goalkeeper Jake Eastwood, the U’s eased to victory with James Gibbons scoring twice in a ruthless display.

Neil Harris’s side had endured a sticky spell of form before that much-needed victory. Cambridge had failed to win six of eight previous League Two fixtures.

While usually reliable in home fixtures, Harris’s men have struggled on the road this season. Cambridge boast only the 11th strongest away record in the league, despite sitting third in the division. 

Still, the visitors are usually a reliable choice to get on the scoresheet, with at least one goal scored in 23 of 25 previous fixtures across all competitions.

Head coach Harris will be forced into at least one change to his selection this week. Ben Hughes will replace the suspended Jake Eastwood.
