Bologna vs Sassuolo prediction 28.12.2025 | Serie A

Bologna established itself as a top-half team in Serie A this season. They are currently sixth in the standings, but with one game fewer than two teams above them, AS Roma and Juventus, so it wouldn't be surprising if Bologna fight for another Champions League appearance.

Although Bologna won only three of the last seven matches across all competitions, they have gone through an extremely tough schedule, and it was hard to expect much more. Bologna's last matches were in the Italian Super Cup, where they first won against Inter, but in the final, Vincenzo Italiano's team lost 2-0 against Napoli.

Sassuolo have big problems with missing players. They will be without Woyo Coulibaly, Domenico Berardi, Daniel Boloca, Yeferson Paz, Edoardo Pieragnolo, Filippo Romagna, and Laurs Skjellerup on Sunday in Bologna. Also, Andrea Pinamonti is questionable and his status will be clearer closer to the kickoff.
