Aston Villa vs Tottenham prediction 03.05.2026 | Premier League

Aston Villa established itself as one of the best teams in England under Unai Emery. This season is not an exception, as the Villans are currently in 5th place with 58 points from 34 rounds and are eight points away from dropping out of the top five. They have also reached the Europa League Semi-Finals and will have the second leg against Nottingham after the Tottenham match. To be fair, it seems they slowed down a bit after losing back-to-back games to Fulham and Nottingham and need this win to get back on track. 

Midfielder Amadou Onana suffered an injury in the previous game against Nottingham and had to leave the field after 55 minutes. According to English media reports, the midfielder will most likely miss the upcoming game(s). Additionally, Alysson and Boubacar Kamara should remain sidelined with their injuries. 

Tottenham are playing another horrific Premier League season. Last season, they finished 17th, but not too close to relegation. They also saved the season somewhat with a Europa League title. This season, the Spurs were atrocious and are on the brink of taking a trip to the Championship. After 34 rounds, they sit in 18th place with 34 points from 34 rounds. However, they showed some signs of life by winning four points in the past two games. At the moment, they are just two points away from the safe zone. 

To be fair, a big part of the problem this season is constant injuries. Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons are the new names on the injury list after sustaining injuries in the previous game against Wolves. Additionally, Kudus, Kulusevski, Odobert, Romero, Matar Sarr, Udogie, and Vicario should all remain sidelined with their injuries.
