Arsenal extended their winning run to seven matches with a hard-fought 1:0 EPL victory against Crystal Palace last weekend. Eberechi Eze's first Gunners goal secured another win for Mikel Arteta's in-form side.

Now short-priced favourites to claim a first EPL title in over twenty years, the hosts have enjoyed a superb run, keeping clean sheets in each of their last five victories, including an impressive 4:0 win against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Particularly strong at the Emirates, Arsenal won seven of their last eight home fixtures, and another victory seems likely, even if the Seagulls avoided defeat in both of their last two games against the Londoners.

Head coach Arteta could make some changes to his first XI on Wednesday. Ethan Nwaneri, Christian Noergaard, Mikel Merino and Myles Lewis-Skelly are among those likely to earn recalls to the first XI.

A high-scoring contest could be on the cards with Brighton rarely involved in dull affairs. Over 2.5 goals were scored in eight of the visitors last nine games. 

While the Gunners have been brilliant in defence, Brighton can usually be relied upon to get on the scoresheet. The Seagulls have seen BTTS in seven of their last eight matches while they scored at least one goal in three of their last four away games against Arsenal. 

Head coach Hurzeler is likely to make some changes from the side that slipped to defeat at Old Trafford.

Injured trio Adam Webster, Solly March and Jack Hinshelwood remain sidelined.
