Al-Taawoun vs Al Ittihad prediction 29.04.2026 | Saudi Pro League

Al-Taawoun come into Wednesday’s Saudi Pro League contest looking to build on a hard-fought 2:1 win against Al-Najma. Marin Petkov’s second-half strike secured the points for Pericles Chamusca’s side. 

Before that victory, Al-Taawoun had failed to win nine of ten previous SPL fixtures since the start of February. Despite their indifferent form, Al-Taawoun sit fifth in the division, albeit 13 points behind fourth-placed Al-Qadsiah.

Defensive struggles have resulted in several high-scoring outcomes for the hosts in recent weeks. Al-Taawoun have seen BTTS in their last ten matches while seven of their last nine games finished with at least three goals scored.

Head coach Chamusca is likely to retain confidence in much of the same side that edged past Al-Najma. Muteb Al-Mufarrij is the only confirmed absentee for the hosts.

Al Ittihad return to Saudi Pro League action after a disappointing 1:0 defeat against Japanese opponents Machida Zelvia in the AFC Elite semi-finals ten days ago. 

Sérgio Conceição’s side have struggled to find much consistency in their performances this year. Al Ittihad have now failed to win five of their last seven matches since the start of March.

Placed sixth in the Saudi Pro League,  the Tigers have endured a disappointing domestic campaign. Al Ittihad sit 31 points behind league leaders Al Nassr. 

Clean sheets have been hard to come by, with at least one goal conceded in nine of their last 12 games. Six of their eight most recent domestic fixtures finished with BTTS, and a similar outcome should be on the cards this week. 

Head coach Conceição has no fresh injury issues this week. Mahamadou Doumbia remains a long-term absentee.
