Al Nassr weren't too successful with Cristiano Ronaldo. However, last season they finally won their first major trophy by winning the domestic title. This year, they started the season very well, but had a pretty bad period in the first part of September. But generally speaking, they are once again among the top candidates for the domestic title, currently sitting in 2nd place with 25 points from the first ten rounds. 

In the AFC Champions League, Al Nassr must treat this as a must-win, as they sit in 8th place and are massive favorites going into the game.

After a 3:1 win over Al Faisaly, coach Ange Postecoglou spoke to the media. He was very pleased with the performance, singling out Abdullah Al-Hamdan. The coach added they deserved to win by a bigger margin, saying they created enough chances. 

Al Wasl finished 3rd in the UAE last season, but now they're nowhere near the top spot, as Al Ain left them 20 points behind! This season, Al Wasl looks pretty good in the domestic league, considering they are in 3rd place with 13 points from six rounds and are only one point away from the top spot. 

However, their performance in the AFC Champions League hasn't been great, as they've already lost the first two games to Saudi Arabian teams, Al Qadsiah (2:1) and Al Ahli SC (3:1). If they want to advance, they have to collect some points in this game against the Saudi champs.

A few days ago, AL Wasl played in the Cup against Ittihad Kalba. Although they advanced, they had to play 120 minutes and eventually won on penalties. It will be interesting to see whether playing so many minutes will have an impact on the team.
