Al Akhdoud comes into Thursday’s SPL fixture in losing form after a 2:0 defeat at Damac last weekend. Valentín Vada’s late goal secured a well-deserved win for the home side. 

Fathi Al Jabal’s side have endured a tough run of results in recent weeks with defeats recorded in all but two of their last nine matches. The hosts lost four of their five most recent games, failing to score in all four defeats.

Low-scoring outcomes have been frequent in the past month, with under 2.5 goals scored  in their last four fixtures.

Placed 17th in the 18-team league, Al Akhdoud find themselves ten points from safety with just five games to play this season.

Head coach Saad Ali Al Shehri will be forced into at least one change to his selection on Thursday. Jack Hendry is suspended after a dismissal against Al Nassr.
