Betting odds for Golf US Masters 2026: predictions and best bets

By Klimentijs Konevs | Published: April 8, 2026, 15:00

The Masters is back as the first men's major of 2026. Augusta National hosts a 91-player field this week. Scottie Scheffler heads into the week as the market leader. Meanwhile, the defending champion Rory McIlroy returns to Augusta trying to become the first player since Tiger Woods in 2001-2002 to win back-to-back green jackets.

This year's tournament is the 90th edition of the Masters and runs from April 9-12 in Georgia, with practice rounds having started on April 6. The course remains a par 72 at 7,565 yards, although there has been a small change. The par-4 17th has been lengthened by 10 yards to 450. The Masters remains invitation-only, with 22 debutants this year. The winner will collect a share of a $20 million purse.

Odds to win the US Masters: Main favourites

The Masters betting odds show a clear favourite and then a packed chasing group. Scheffler sits alone at the top, with Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, McIlroy, and Xander Schauffele forming the main second tier.

Scottie Scheffler - 6.50

The world No.1 for nearly three consecutive years, Scheffler has dominated the sport in this period. He already owns two green jackets from the 2022 and 2024 Masters, and has recorded four straight top-10 finishes at Augusta. Last year, he finished fourth. There are, however, slight question marks, with some suggesting he is not quite at his absolute peak level right now. Even so, his consistency and course history make him the safest outright option on the board.

Jon Rahm - 12.00

Rahm won the Masters in 2023 and has finished inside the top 10 five times since 2018, showing consistent comfort on this course. That said, his results since that victory have been less convincing, which adds a bit of uncertainty. 2025 became the first winless season for Rahm since the beginning of his career in 2016. In October, he took a break from competition. He returned in February and secured his first individual victory in 18 months.

Bryson DeChambeau - 13.00

DeChambeau won back-to-back LIV events and nearly added a third in his last four starts. His Augusta record has improved, finishing 6th in 2024 and 5th in 2025. Last year, he stayed in contention throughout and entered Sunday just two shots off the lead. His power remains a major advantage. The question is his approach play, but if that holds up over three rounds, he has all the tools to win.

Rory McIlroy - 13.00

McIlroy is in a very different position from previous years. The career Grand Slam pressure is gone, he is the defending champion, and he hosted the Champions Dinner last night. The challenge now is a new one: trying to defend the title at a venue where repeat wins are rare. He still deserves his place near the top of the board, but compared with Scheffler, his outright case carries a little more volatility.

Xander Schauffele - 15.00

Schauffele remains one of the most reliable contenders in the field. While he hasn't won since last October, his current form is still strong. His Augusta record is particularly solid, with five top-10 finishes in eight starts, including a runner-up and a third-place result. With a complete all-around game and proven ability to contend at majors, he stands out as a dependable pick for another deep run.

Odds on US Masters dark horses

Cameron Young - 19.00

Young is no longer a pure dark horse. However, he still sits outside the main favourite pack and offers more upside than many players priced around him. He is the reigning Players Championship winner and has already posted a few top-10 Augusta finishes over the last 10 appearances. If you want a non-obvious name with legitimate winning potential, Young stands out immediately.

Tommy Fleetwood - 21.00

Fleetwood finally broke through with his first PGA Tour win at the Tour Championship in 2025, adding the FedEx Cup to his resume. His short game remains one of his biggest strengths, and he has a strong record of making cuts at Augusta, including a career-best third-place finish in 2024.

Patrick Reed - 36.00

Reed has become very difficult to ignore at Augusta. He already owns a green jacket, keeps producing strong results here, and has a solid recent form. He is not the longest hitter in the field, but Augusta has never been only about brute force. Creativity, touch, and course understanding matter, and Reed still has all three.

US Masters 2026 predictions

Cameron Young to win - 19.00

Young comes into Augusta in elite form, finishing top 10 in three straight starts, including a win at The Players Championship. He already has two top-10 finishes at the Masters (7th in 2023, 9th in 2024), showing he can handle the course. With no dominant standout this year, his current level and scoring ability make him one of the most dangerous contenders in the field.

Scottie Scheffler to finish in the top 5 - 2.37

Scheffler remains the most reliable player at Augusta. He has finished inside the top 10 in four straight Masters, including two wins, and rarely drops out of contention here. Even without peak form, his consistency and course history make a top-5 finish one of the safest betting options on the board.

Nicolai Højgaard to be the top Continental European - 10.00

Højgaard is a high-upside play in a smaller market. He impressed on his Augusta National debut (T16) and was inside the top 6 after three rounds in 2024 before fading on Sunday. His recent form includes multiple top finishes and a runner-up in Houston. He has already shown he can contend at majors. At these odds, he offers strong value to outperform this specific field.
