The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations continues, as Senegal begin their Group D campaign against Botswana in Tangier. This looks like one of the more one-sided fixtures of the opening round, with the tournament favourites facing one of the lowest-ranked sides in the competition.

Senegal are second in the CAF rankings and arrive with serious momentum. The Teranga Lions smashed Kenya 8-0 in their latest friendly, while also posting convincing World Cup qualifying wins earlier this year. Safe to say they are the strongest team in the group.

Botswana, meanwhile, sit at 40th in the rankings and remain one of the weakest teams at this year's AFCON. This is only the second time they've qualified for the tournament, and recent form offers little encouragement. The Zebras have struggled to compete consistently at this level and now will face one of Africa's elite sides.

This should be an attacking display from Senegal. Given the gap in quality, the Teranga Lions are likely to dominate possession and create chances throughout. Over 2.5 goals at 1.75 looks like the most reliable way to approach this fixture.
