Zamalek return to Cairo International Stadium after claiming an impressive 3:0 away victory against National Bank of Egypt.

Goals from Chico Banza, Hossam Ashraf and Ahmed Esho secured a routine win for Mu'tamed Gamal’s side. 

The hosts have collected four points from their opening two matches and remain the only team to have kept two clean sheets in the competition. Over a longer period, they have conceded just one goal in six competitive fixtures. 

Head coach Gamal has a strong squad available this week. 

Banza is pushing for his first start after a goalscoring substitute appearance against National Bank of Egypt, while Ahmed Rabia could also retain his position after appearing at half-time.

Dabbagh should continue in attack after registering two assists against National Bank.

Ahmed Hossam is expected to remain unavailable through injury.

Petrojet travel to Cairo after a 3:2 home defeat against Tala'ea El-Gaish on Wednesday. Trailing 3:0 after an hour, Godwin Okwara reduced Petrojet’s deficit in the 65th minute before Mostafa El-Badry struck nine minutes from time.

Petrojet were unable to complete the comeback despite playing against ten men for the closing stages after Omar Radwan’s dismissal. 

The visitors had previously earned a 1:1 draw against Asyut Petroleum in their opening Premier League fixture of the season. 

Without a win in three matches, the visitors won only one of their last five competitive fixtures, and they could struggle against the EPL champions. 

Sayed Eid has no confirmed injury absentees, although defensive changes could be considered following Wednesday’s disappointing display.

Freddy Kouablan and Abubakar Liadi are among those pushing for recalls, while Okwara should retain his place after scoring against El-Gaish.
